I was better:) am better, in fits and starts. I know what you mean about utterances that not questions but sound like they are. Very hard to stop yourself mimicking the cadences after a while.

You are sounding better, mneme. I got myself into a lot of trouble when I first moved to Canada. The checkout girls, as they handed over the receipt, would ask a question. I would go back and say 'Sorry, what did you say?" All they had said was
'have a nice day,' but the Canadians in this neck of the woods always finish a sentence on a high note as if they were asking something.

Taps
I'm trying to get back into my stride. (It would be easier if my other half would get himself together).

I think we would understand each other just fine :) It would be nice to find out one day wouldn't it? It's not an impossibility, I would love to go back to NC one day. The last time was nearly five years ago.

Yes, dear mneme, all good...I am so gla dyou are back! I missed you. Since
you lived in NC, you have an inkling of the Southern U.S. accents...we could talk, and I would love to, but I think we would both have to listen carefully! LOL!

I really enjoy your posts!
