You are 100% correct. It is disgusting. It becomes a way of life and they do not have the self respect to get off it. A total shame and you and I are working jobs to pay their way.

Those things made by $.10 an hour wages and our people are on welfare or whatever is a horrific statement. We have a company over 100 years here in America that laid off 20,000 at one time because we can get glassware so cheap from China. Disgusting.

Justi...

I think the welfare system plays a vital role in "assisting" members of society who require a temporary helping hand.  BUT...the privledge has been used and abused to a degree that welfare is no longer considered a helping hand...it's a game to see who can manipulate the system so that they don't have to fend for themselves.

I know a husband and wife duo who spend more time working to manipulate the system, hide from the truth, and cover their butts and lie than they spend time on anything else.  What if they turned those efforts into getting a job and actually earning some pay?  I have to believe the rewards for THAT would be so much more fulfilling!

Justi this is a good post. We have exactly the same problems here

I can't buy anything without made in China or Korea etc on the label and these are old established Australian companies. Where have the workers gone  who used to make these things? We have $2.00 shops everywhere now full of rubbishand it all comes in big containers from you know where.

Last year I bought a lounge suite from a local guy.Guess where it was made and it took three months to get here.

This is evident everytime you need service for your computer or most anything. I have written on this before but some brought evidence we had more jobs here for foreigners than we gave to them. Well all I see is a lot of jobs going overseas and you not knowing what you are getting from them.

I live in fear of the day my job is taken over by a citizen from India. That really annoys me how call centers are doing it left and right in the name of profit, and throwing customer service to the wind. Keep American jobs IN AMERICA!
