I am so sorry what a rotten time for you. Thinking of you and hoping things get better. We never forget the pets we loveed. They were part of the family. I'm sending you a hug HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUG

My goodness.  I'm sorry that I didn't read this as soon as you wrote it.  What an awful thing to happen--both of them, and at the same time.  Are you doing all right?

I know and that is what pisses me off even more. He was so young and I thought he was going to bounce right back up but he didn't. I miss him .

I didn't hear that either but my babysitter looked it up on the internet and the number one breed for the most common deaths by twisting it's stomach is 1)Great Dane 2) Rottweiler 3)Labs all types and the list goes on. My babysitter is really concerned because she has a Great Dane and a golden lab.

very strange, to say the least. I've seen dogs walk away after being hit
by a car;  and my only dog of recent times was thrown from a car when he was a pup and broke his back leg, but he did ok.  Little limp.  I never figured a dog would die from something so seemingly small.

Thank you it does seem dark. Lose my job and my dog all in one day. I just need a break from life right now. Is there a life without stress and death I'd love to have it. Thanks for reading.

Thank you for your kind words, I told my kids that Toby will be waiting for us when we pass on and they keep asking me when it's there turn.LOL. Not for a while I hope I don't know what I would do if they went next.

That's terrible!
So sorry to hear all that, 8 Ball.

Mark's right, though -- it will get better, even if it seems pretty dark now.

I know I cry constantly but it was a freak accident and there was nothing we could have done. Provides little comfort but life does have to go on. The vet was alright there was just nothing he could really do over the phone. Thanks for reading.

I don't really know the vet said over the phone that he might of twisted his stomach because it is common in large breed of dogs. I think he was right because when Toby hit the table while in the air he dropped on his back and his stomach was all tense and then he died. Thank you for your prayers I just never want to see another animal die in front of me ever again it is the worst.

OMG April...I am so sorry about your Toby.  It's so hard to lose a pet, but especially to a freak accident.  I'm sitting here crying with you.

That vet was terribly uncaring and unkind to you.  I'm so sorry...I wish I knew what to say...

OMG 8-Ball I am so sorry. What happened? Did he break his back?

There are no words I can think of to make you feel better except in time the pain will lessen. I send you and your family my prayers!
