Good idea - or I could do a Van Gogh and then outdo him by cutting both off
. The maid didn't say, that, no, she used to talk in a funny dialect but words like 'darn' were her limit. The cartoons were from the forties i think. Poison some cheese and leave it out - you could stick some parsley on top to make it really alluring!

lol! She said that in a cartoon? Gosh, what are they coming to, today? Well you could try spraying foam insulation in them, then.

Poor you. And NO I'm NOT making slippers for that little varmit! Not only did he eat the cheese but he chewed a hole in my favourit hammock!

I've tried earplugs. I think my ears must be the wrong shape coz they
always fall out, and they don't cut down the noise at all. Maybe the mouse needs to cut his toenails - or you could lay down a rug or sew some little socks or slippers for him (or her). This reminds me of Tom and Jerry - I was watching that with my daughter yesterday. You'll have to get like the maid - don't take any sh*& from that darn mouse. Thomas!

I like the bald look myself. You can paint a

on it to pretty it up if you like. Well, I put peanut butter in there now, that'll fix him! I hope. Kept hearing it scratch across the wood floor all night.

My dad used to use ear plugs and a blindfold sort of thing, would that help? I'm awful when I don't sleep enough.

Arrgh! Try something tougher, like cheddar. It may break the little
blighter's teeth! I keep waking up too early, it's a combination of the light and my apartment. not good. Thank goodness I should be out in about a month. I'm about to dye my hair to get rid of the grey bits. Do you think I should?

Aw, poor you. Well, if it makes you feel any better, I didn't sleep great either because there was a little mouse in my room.

Hi Mary - thanks so much!
I had 5 hours last night - I might try going to bed a bit earlier - when it gets to a certain time and it gets light i just can't seem to get back to sleep again - well, not in my flat, anyway. I managed it yesterday when I was elsewhere!

It's quite pretty there, Mneme - some nice buildings.
Yes, economics, you're right. I don't know, about Arthurians not having sandwiches though - I can imagine them having barbecues and everything!

There's a lot packed into this one.. social commentary, economics, history (or myth), parenting... I'm not sure they'd invented sandwiches in Arthur's time though:) I spent a week in Llandudno many years ago, it was pretty quiet then too.
