Oh, she's very good, give a rip. My local library has six of her novels,
including the Jenny Casey trilogy (
Hammered is part of this), so you have a little catching up to do...

Elizabeth Bear was (still is- I believe) part of an on-line genre writers workshop I belonged to when I lived in the states. I saw lots of her short stories come through the workshop and knew she was really good. I'd heard she had novels coming out. Thanks for the review. I'll definetely check it out.

I mentioned two authors, Brin and Resnick, on top of the author of this
particular book, so I don't really know which two you're asking about. Not that it matters. They're all Americans. Resnick is from Chicago, Bear is from Connecticut, and Brin is from California.
