I'm not sure if this is what you were thinking about - but I don't believe power in itself is bad, it's how you use it. And one can certainly have evil ambitions, and ruthlessly pursue them  - and still others, may have noble ambitions, but start using very ignoble means to achieve those ambitions - then you get into that age-old argument, "Do the ends justify the means?" Good post.
