my mom and dad always told us stories about their childhood
and about their parents , a couple passed on before I was born...I in turn continued that with my children..and grandchildren....I hope they are all remembered...it makes me sad to think you go through all of this..and then one day forgotten...that is a tragedy !

I don't know how one forgets the dead. Everybody in my birth family except my daughter and grandson are dead. I remember them daily, my children and my parents. How could I forget?

Remembering the Dead
Perhaps the dead move on and make it harder to feel connected to them?

I don't know darling...I guess life is for the living.  I don't think it's true in all cases.  But usually we have to forget a little to be able to go on.

Good Morning, Love. I've missed you.

In fact I thought people more easily remember a person when is lost or dead
even when someone hardly takes note of him or her when she is alive and needs to be remembered

Good post. It reminds me of a quote - something like, "Your spirit will live on, as long as even one person remembers you."
