Someone actually lost to Portsmouth? My dad supported them for years, ever the optimist. Must be where I get it from.

Ah yes - spring has sprung at last!
It's got a bit sunnier here as well, after a few days of cloudy weather.

Neil - yes, and weren't SA number one in the world recently - potential
tournament winners? They beat England with ease. I'm finding that cricket is much more predictable than soccer. Apart from the betting situation, it's been quite a good year for English soccer, with three teams in the last four of the European Champions League.

Tony-enjoy the Cricket against US.We need Mandela in power 2show our power!
The story was different and more confident for the South Africans in the mid 1990s. We used to be a balanced team: fielding, bowling and batting. The Aussies are more united and consistent. But then...your sonnet switches to your heartache int he realm of soccer. It all balances out in Spring and the rest of the year. Best wishes always. shalomfromneil

Yes - I lost £30 on that one but am hopefully going to win £200 tonight!
Australia are 27 for 1 last time I saw. Fingers crossed - only 149 to beat! Well done Sri Lanka - but my money will be on Australia in the final!!
