In days past I used to write a lot about writing
but now I simply must write - for me it is life.

you raised a very valid point as to why, how we write and in what way do we measure our worth as writers. I believe that the more you write the better you get and the more confident you become. This is why blogging is an exellent way to hone your wiritng skills :it motivates you to come up with something worth reading every day as well as prompting you to comment on various topics. it is this give and take that sets blogging apart from any publishing medium.

On the Art of Writing
I'm still learning but the more I write the more I learn. I agree that at first it is common to look for validation and wonder if you are coming up to the mark. At times when there is no response it is easy to think the reader is not interested. Many times the reader simply has nothing to add to what has already been said.

I started writing/journaling
at age 9 because I enjoyed it. Some people do not enjoy writing, and consider it a tedious task. I guess I'm lucky I enjoy it. Take care Afzal50

My dear friend...I am writing a book. Many of the poetry and sayings
you have read over time will be published. I am halfway through it...it includes many pictures and illustrations. Wether it is a success or not is of no consequence. I am only doing what I am called to do.
