- Go to Crystal Ball Gazing Government?
Azur
I've thought about going to a clairvoyant occasionally but never gone through with it, Azur, in case I am told that I should be a rich writer and the only reason I'm not is me. I like the way you interpreted what the clairvoyant told you. Interesting; it would make a good article.

I spoke to a clairvoyant last year
who said I would remain broke this year but then things will pick up. It helped to know that because then I didn't waste time thinking a big turn around in fortunes is just around the corner. I took it as a sign to keep working but also to play the part of the starving novelist. When it sells next year everything will change (I hope).

I didn't need one for that, smartdog. I was a lazy sod and didn't go anyway.

Pat
His 'intelligence agents' could certainly have done with a crystal ball. It would have saved lots of lives and not brought America so close to bankruptcy.

Thank you mneme. Sometimes I would like to know the future. When my daughter emigrated, she went to a clairvoyant who told her she would never have to worry about money as her father would be rich. Rich from what? Writing!
So much for clairvoyants, unless.......no....it couldn't be, she has my eyes.

If I had a seer (or could afford one), I'd have done my best to never graduate college. Hi ho

It might have been useful for our wonderful shrub
to have had some glimmer of an idea about the outcome of his venture into a jihad minded nation dressed in little but arrogance and ignorance.

I agree, it doesn't exactly inspire one with confidence in our leaders. And I love the way you weave affection for Ell into this, here just by commenting on walking out of the door to a boring dinner.
