I would say that you summed that up accurately. I do feel that the media perpetuates the violence with their constant coverage.......the proverbial five minutes of fame.

While we cannot deny the possibility of the fame/infamy angle and a variety of others like drugs, the ease of obtaining firearms, violent video games and music, etc., it's extremely difficult to find accurate reasons to explain the causes. We can't use logic to explain such obviously illogical actions.

In pursuit of the "American Dream"......we have created a society of latch key kids. Both parents work and kids are left to themselves. Violent video games and television have indeed made our kids numb to violence.
