to me the fear of rejection
could also be a subliminal defense mechanism NOT to succeed or "step out of one's box" so to speak. the comfort zone that a person places themselves in tends to limit their abilities to try new things, go to new places, or just to take a chance. the answer NO is an okay answer for me - it doesn't mean that I am inadequate - it just means someone said no.

Good post.
However, when I think of rejection...it means someone's rejection of your love, or your friendship, or your kindness. I guess a little different meaning than what you are talking about.
