Flattery will get you everywhere, you sweet talker!
Making someone laugh is a big rush, for me. A
really amusing statement that doesn't step over any important lines gets remembered. One night several people I had just met, and I were talking. Somehow the conversation turned to age, not my favorite topic. Each one of us said something followed by our respective age. I spoke last. The youngest person at the table expressed astonishment at my chroniclogical age and said, "You're old enough to be my FATHER!" I said, "I don't know, what's your mother's name?" He didn't see the humor in it, but everyone else did.
