You maybe right about some food alleviating depression, but the term comfort food denotes food that we eat when we are feeling down and these are usually very unhealthy. when i'm blue i can't bring myself to have an apple instead i go for a pack of chips or piece(s) of cake. the worst part of this is that after a period of binging you have done serious damage to your figure that adds to the original depression.

Good post
I feel better when I lay off starchy foods and have a mixed/balanced diet. Chocolate in moderation can also be good.

I have heard the thing about caffeine before.
Also, keeping a positive attitude can reduce our stress and keep us from easily getting sick.

I agree with what you have said. Take a look at all of the ready meals in your freezer section, look at all of the junk that goes in to the foods we purchase, it's no wonder that we don't all die

Manda, hugely good post! And yes, caffeine does ease the pain brought
