You might find this amusing, I too had the proceedure done and even though they told me they filled me up with air, I forgot, them drugs work powerful good. You're right, it is painful for a while.

I had a colonoscopy several years back. When I woke up I was in the middle of a hallway on a guerney right by the room where the procedure was done, with my butt hurting pretty bad. There was a male, Indian doctor standing over me patting my hand as I woke up telling me, "It will be alright. It will be alright." I looked up at him and asked him, "What just went on in there?"

The only problem is, as I understand it,
is once you get to blast one, your next statement may be, "Uh oh. I hope that was a fart!"
I'm getting to that age where it's time to start doing those things, too, and it's unpleasant. I choose my doctor solely on the size of her hands and fingers. But it beats hell out of the alternative.

I just had that done too a few weeks ago my friend. Good for you, my dad had died of pancreatic cancer before they did colonoscopies. And yes, you really must get up and walk and get that air out of you, fart man, fart, 'fore it blows a gasket or something

You have to walk around and move the wind from the pocket of bowel where
it's caught. Try some perpermint in warm water to drink too. I've nursed hundreds in your pain and walking will shift it.Good luck

What kinds of colon cleansing drinks? That doesn't sound so good.
The procedure itself is evasive, but the drugs that they give you make it okay. I'm not sure there could be enough drugs to make it ok. LOL
