I would have read you sooner but I just found you this morning while surfing the streets of blogitville. You are right about the shape of the new fear but I often wonder if we aren't supposed to fear something. Seems like they are always coming up with a new one!

We feel that radiation fallout is the worst thing to fear because it was drummed into us that nobody was safe from it, anywhere. This was before bioterrorism, Al Qaeda, recombident DNA, loss of genetic diversity, identity theft, bird flu, anthrax letters, dirty bombs and on and on that today's young people have to fear today. The more things change, the more they stay the same! Thanks for your reply. It helps me to know that there are people who actually read some of my stuff, Guy
