The poem wasnt too vague.Its just deep enough to hit you with more than one
message.Im so sorry about the loss of your son.Its a pain which never ends.It can become manageable,and as you say new hopes,dreams and possibilities carry us through.Its truly a lovely poem

Hi proc,
I find your comment interesting...I think i will visit your blog and answer there...I have not met you before. thank you for taking the trouble to write such a long comment. The poem is about the end of summer, some nostalgia and hope, yes some losses, as well. I guess it is ambiguous enough, don't know if it is too vague. The loss is that of my son who died four years ago, but somehow he resurfaces again and again, this is partly what i was referring to, and also about new hopes and friendships, the warmth that carries us through winter...

Its a lovely poem and when I first read it I wondered whether
you were referring to the demise of summer or were there shades of nostalgia for a special relationship that has ended??I was drawn to your post because you sounded so honest about the whole thing of commenting on blogs you dont find interesting.I too have read blogs and walked away saying nothing because I need to be as true to myself as possible.And yes,when someonecomments on your site you do feel obliged to go to their site.But Ive realised you dont have to comment if the writing leaves you speechless.I also noticed you live in NZ.Like me you appear to be a transplant.Are you here for good?
