Uh-huh
I knew there was a reason I didn't like carrots much - OMG my mom and gran used to make me eat genetically modified veggies. Oh heck, I feel a mutation coming on... Enjoy your root party, I can't come as I'd have to get back to my roots to do so and I'm not getting off the couch.

Can I bring vodka to the party? I mean, its made from potatoes! Well, some of it anyway! And regarding my earlier remarks about turnips: the more I think about it, the more I am convinced that
everyone marching around with placards is a turnip...

If you have hydroponics or whatever technology to grow indoors, you may not have to wait for seasons.

I know that's got nothing to do with your party but I thought you might be sick of rooting around in the mud by the time I get there.

I don't want to be pedantic, but potatoes ain't roots. They are just related to the roots by marriage, the ceremonies taking place in our pots! (Well, yes, they're allowed multiple roots!)
Except for the turnips! I must confess that I discriminate against turnips! They're never allowed in my pot! I will probably see turnips marching up and down my street any day now, bearing placards...

I'm more into growing herbs than veggies. I tried it when we lived in Burlington, with only moderate success. It's been warm here this week, but it is promising to be cold again this weekend. I'm not looking forward to it. Have a great week.

In the spring a young man's fancy turns to love and the farmer has new energy. My neighbor has planted 5 rows of potatoes. Wow, on or before St. Patrick's Day, he is making good spring time. You have it right, under the ground things are basically roots, and by the way since they are under ground they should be planted on the dark of the moon. (no moon needed)
Hope you have a great time SPRINGING.
