We must talk to our congress about stronger laws and enforcement of them and some more conservative judges.

That is too much show and tell for education purposes to meet my standard.

You are good and wise parents. Home schooling may become the requirement for safety.

My wife and I agree that we are fortunate to be raising our kids in the country, where there is much less crime and perverts roaming about.

God is all powerful and can hand down punishment but he leaves you to do his will. It is totally a choice.

I agree with you. But if one parent does not and this is allowed and the parent who does install values is exposed to this and the school is allowing it. What is the one to do? I agree values begin in the home. I work with mothers who want to have values, don't have, haven't been exposed to any sort of decency.

Don't families and parents have to accept some accountability for the morality that is instilled in their children? I think there's too many people parenting with one eye open - oblivious to what their kids are doing. It's a shame......

Justi, fifth graders?? That's astounding. And good thoughts aboot us
being in control. God is not the old man with white hair and a cane to whip us into line, though many would like him to be to avoid responsibility or choice.

I agree it should have been a long time ago. But the child being hurt today wonders where we are it is never too late.

Thought provoking posts are good, but action inducing posts are better. If ever action were important in this matter, it was a long time ago. Recently a man from Phoenix, AZ was given 200 years for purchasing child pornography over the internet. He was a school teacher in the Phoenix Public School System. It was hard for me to work up any sympathy over his harsh sentence.
