I didn't know that, mneme. Is Christianity the only religion that lets other religions walk all over it?

Absolutely right about the moral guidance in the commandments - and how sad that they have been banned from public buildings in some States because of religious sensibilities - or should that be insensibilities?

It was news to me too, FactorFiction. I wonder how far back they would have gone in their determination to make Mary virginal.

I love it,
You are too funny... I was not aware that they had made Jesus' Grandma a virgin too!?

I loved ariel's comment, too. I never thought of it that way...but it IS funny.

HOW....NOT POSSIBLE
ANYONE...who knows anything about christianity and Christ knows that this is an effort to decieve the public. Tell Me, how can their be bones, if Jesus decended unto his father's house........Hmmmmmmm.....let it go...just another pack of lies, like the DiVinci Code...All meant to make you question your beliefs and decieve you.

I love the tee-shirt. Back in the eighties that would be naughty. In '07 it is practiaclly accepted that it has been cured. I read yesterday that girls are reaching puberty at 11. 11?
The things we don't know are somewhat more than the things we know. If I had to write a blog about the things I consider about the things I don't know, I would be certified.

I had something else to say, but by the time I got through all the comments
all I could think of was a tee shirt I saw -- maybe back in the '80s -- "virginity is curable."
I think when it comes to mystical things, we have to accept that there will always be questions we don't have answers to.

RckyMtnActivist
You have a good point there, RckyMtnActivist. It is possible that the church, when it was younger, did make the whole line virginal - who knows, it could be all the way back to Eve.

He certainly gave us a set of rules to live by. If only we could conform.
Edinburgh in Spring? That brings back memories of rolling Easter eggs down a wet and windy Calton Hill - ah happy days, ginnie.

There are those whose obsessive desire in life is to betray, condemn, mock, flog and crucify again the man called Jesus because deep down inside there is that nagging feeling that someday they may have need to bow down and confess him as The Christ, The Son of The Living God.
