Yep Pat_B I hear you. I must confessed I got scammed by a mob called Photo Laureates who run along similar lines to the Poetry mob.

Yeah Kabu. I think my sister did Amway (or something similar) .. the more I think about it the more I realise that I'm not that keen on anything that leads to seeing friends and relatives as customers. So many of these styles of marketing seem to head in that direction.

There Is Always A need For Part-time Bookkeepers

Listen to my show. I always get requests for bookkeepers for part-time bookkeepers. This one could do at home at naytime, day or night. Just a thought. I can help teach all who are interested.

Speaking of scams... Avoid Poetry dot com...
Another thing -- online as everywhere else -- if it sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. I'm glad you were wise and checked it out.

Dontcha love the internet!
I'm an information junkie from silly to serious, but it's situations like yours that make me really thankful for the net! Good luck with your endeavors.

Rob,

I'm glad you did some proper research into this.  I'm seriously considering taking on work from home as a medical transcriptionist.  (As you know I wanted to attend medical school, but couldn't).

My oldest sister is doing this kind of work and gave me info on the website and stuff.  It'll be nice to make money the government can't take away from me and it'll help me out tons 'till I can sell some of my writing.

I'm still going to research the place, though.  You can never be too careful about these things.

Keep looking, Rob.  Something will turn up for you.  I just know it!!

Happy searching and all the best.

Good thing
you caught it in good time.  I just stopped getting myself ripped off by ordering an ipod on ebay. Now, I have learnt how to be more careful and do the appropriate security checks. I am sure something will come along that will suit you just fine.

Hi from another Sydney import this one from South Australia.
I got caught up in the Amway thing once. Didn't work either.

A bit of googling works wonders in stuff like this, Rob.

I unearthed bad reports on a time-share company that had lured me to a 'presentation' by a bit of googling. It's that old phrase that should act as a warning: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is too good to be true.

Good luck with the rest of the plan.
