I guess some of all of these. I am sad in the beginning and I realize I was not the totality of their blogging experience, then I feel lonely because I miss all the people who have been commenting on my blogs and who went away. Then most of the time I learn they are just busy at something else and don't get to me, then I am happy I had them and will again.

That would depend. If it was a well intentioned constructive critic, I would feel sad.  If it was just someone who came to criticize, I'd say GOOD RIDANCE!
