I heard about the man who is willing to give you the very shirt off his back, but your glasses. Wow I feel so honored. I guess I need to wear these they cost my grocery money for weeks. LOL Thanks for the read and comment.

I have two pairs of glasses and I don't wear them - like David1Sprit, I am in denial, actually double denial, and I haven't got double vision...yet...

My husband just retrieved me and told the man now that my memory was going the way of my eyesite he was having a difficult time keeping me in tow! That is a story in itself. LOL

I tried that and snuggled up to a man other than my husband in the grocery store. Opps!

Justi I tried to wear glasses...I've had an astigmatism since age 21
But they would make me soooo dizzy and clumbsy!  I just couldn't get used to them.  The ground appeared to be under my nose when I walked...Fast forward 20 years and now I HAVE to have my vision corrected...Thank goodness I can get away with wearing contact lenses...Or I'd be blind as a bat!

Thanks for the read, I am glad you got a laugh. Yes I guess all things have a set of words belonging principally to them.

I don't think for one moment I could actually pull away a perfectly eye lid and drop a foreign body into the same space as is taken up by my eye-ball. I am a physical coward. If I can't talk you out of it I am a dead duck.

Wow!
"Going to get my ears lowered"

My Dad said that all the time.......

ROTFL
Ear hangers????  Is that sorta along the same lines as saying "Going to get my ears lowered" instead of "Going to get a haircut?"

HA. I can relate.
Got my first glasses a few years back, I'd always had 20/20 till I turned forty. Because I crane my neck around to adjust the vision, to look through the correct part for whatever I'm looking for, I've had many sales ladies look at me funny and ask "Can I help you with something, Maam?"  I'm sure this is becaue I look like a complete idiot, and like I've lost my way or something. Anyway, I pay a fortune for frames, and I still never like them. I hope you love your new frames.

I hated glasses.....
So I whined to my doctor and ta-ta...I now wear one contact.  It's for reading and my right eye is for distance.....no more sitting on 200+ dollar a pair glasses.....
