I think one way of ensuring we are not a part of oppression is by eliminating family pets.  After all, they cannot communicate with us on any significant level.  My cat was born in our house, and I don't think he wants to live any other way, but to get more cats might be a huge mistake.  How can I know?

As you say, afzal, God did not bring us into this world to oppress others.  Mankind oppresses others.

Greed and power lust the stumbling stones placed by evil entities
Mankind as a whole seems to have fallen deeply into the void lurking beneath them and God's pure intent appears a faraway star. But there have been and continue to be, small steps over and around and upwardly bound. Excellent, thought inducing post, Afzal.

No one society in this world is perfect.  There are problems all over the world.  Some places are worse than others.  We just have to do the best we can.

I see society actually being all about climbing to the top.
Groups individuals countries, all at each level grasping for power and money. All society's have wonderful human beings in their midst of course but I don't think any one is free as God meant us to be.
