Very romantic verse. I like the shape of the rhyme.
But my editor genes woke up at the word "lye." I believe you meant "lie." Lye is a caustic chemical. And the verb "to lie" is part of the lie/lay/lain, etc... Another meaning of "lie" is an untruth. There is no way your lovely poem could be untrue. :)
