I don't know if its so different from other people's 'mundane' celebrations. I guess over the years, I have learned that if I want something special, I have to make it so. And, it usually works! For example, when I was invited to attend the daylong meeting, I thought is that what I want to do on Valentine's Day? Then I decided, why not? I would get something out of it. And, I did.
