I agree that serenity is to be found in nature
but I question whether nature is to be found in the "country". What I find most disruptive to my serenity and to nature is the motor vehicle. The motor vehicle is more consistent with rural development than with urban, where pedestrian travel and proximity are primary assets. In the "country", houses are too far away from the businesses and services needed for daily life for its inhabitants to do without cars, often at all hours of the day and night. This is accentuated in the compressed rural development close to cities that we frequently mislabel "suburban".
Without motor vehicles, people also can be considered part of nature, so that solitude is not necessary for natural serenity in central, pedestrian districts. Also, see Jane Jacobs, "The Death and Life of the Great American Cities" about the dangers of such solitude as "dead spaces" in cities.

This is a true post. In my religion God resides in my being by His Spirit. He can keep me calm, joyful and at peace in the midst of a storm. That is a stellar gift. HAPPY VALENTINE TO YOU AND YOURS

Very good post, love. I am out in the country where the houses aren't too close together, so it's pretty nice here, most of the time.
