well said. I think what attraced me to this immeditately and subsequently is that each of the 'efforts' towards wholesomeness has so much in it. I love the concept of 'openess of heart' as I began to realise how easy it is to 'close one's heart'. Thanks for the considered comment.

Equanimity is close. What I like about the idea of whilesomeness is that it also speaks about prevention of unwholesomeness and keeping and perpetuating wholesomeness, when we have it. As Odysseus says, its a profound meditation.

Hi Greenfields….this saying is a spectacular meditation tool
because it requires immediate concentration for the systematic identification and consideration of each of these categories…one thing though, the word “wholesomeness ” makes me hungry for some reason! Be right back, gotta get a snack!
