What we need to do about this.....
We need to spread this message to all we come in contact with each day, through our own actions and attitudes.  Its all we can do.

Yet, good works are valued by some. It is sad when the kids know
only how to want material things, perhaps because love seemed to have never been there in the first place.  Parents work hard, striving to provide as much as they can for kids, out of love, too, but the kids see only things and the absences of their parents.

I don't mind capitalism, it has helped improve life, but why dictate every

aspect of lives for people in Africa and India, like McDonald's food and white, bleached flour in pizza and pasta. Whatever happened to wholewheat rotli and chapatis? Why the baddest habits to hurt our cuisine and bodies? Amazing that people are as willing to put anything inside their bodies even as they are reluctant to mix outwardly with those who look different - again on the outside.

You have once again spoken truth
and sadly, I might add. It hurts my heart to be able to relate to your words, and I hope you know you are not alone in your feelings....and know also that there are people who value, respect, admire and love you just because you are you. You are unique and a wonderful man, and that is always yours, no matter what. Don't ever let that go.

timely post afzal. i'm currently suffering some inter-family issues
that are easily solved but someone is getting into a tight-fist position, withholding funds for health issues a person is suffering due to not liking the way someone is living his/her life.  i am disheartened that personal opinion about job security and choices made are reasons for making someone suffer physically.  if the money exists, you use it, that's my thought.  why should someone suffer to suit another?
