Afzal - As a Muslim I thoroughly enjoyed today's reading about the
month of Muharram from your perspective. As from an early age, I remember receiving money or some nice things from families or neighbours which was and is still the way the muslim community in Cape Town , South Africa celebrate the 10th of Muharram. We give sadaqah to children , be it money or other things that the child will enjoy or need. thanks for sharing. Good luck on your journey.

That is very sad, and tragic.
It really pains me to hear of such things, whether they have happened currently or in the past. It's so horrible and cruel.
