Azfal-
I think too much emphasis is placed on the whole concept of "getting into heaven" when God said you are all gathered back home, to him, once your life in your present body is finished. Although I was raised a Christian, I have always questioned some of it's basic tenants. "In Conversations With God" my mind was put to rest. God speaks to modern man using Walsch as his scribe.  My husband & I watched movie "Gandhi" a couple of nights ago.  When the division between India and Pakistan was about to take place, Gandhi told a parable whereas he was in a room of worship.  There was the Koran, the Torah, the Bible there, all being read.  He said he was a Hindu, a Muslim, a Christian and a Jew.  As long as they worshipped the same God, the one God, our universal God, it was a good place to be.  Gandhi was a man of truth and insight and with a great capacity to lead the people through his charisma and his striving for perfection, walking his talk.  Unfortunately there are zealots in each camp, and I always think, "Boy, will they have some orientation to go through when once again they cross over."  I believe in God the Father, God the Mother, our Lord as the greatest Gnostic who ever lived but I find I cannot profess to the love of any one religion anymore although I was raised a Presbyterian. I am one of those dangerous free-thinkers.  God is pure Love and to walk in His light, carrying His life, and to lead a Godlike existence is to live a life filled with love.   Fears lead to all sorts of negative maladies and beliefs, hate and violence.  Those are not very Godlike IMO.
