I think that we should all have core beliefs
but at the same time accept those with other beliefs, until their beliefs start threatening our own. I hope this makes some sort of sense

My logic lately has been that America is her own worst enemy. I believe any elected official should be American born and have prior military experience..And you know how I feel about the extremists...all of them!!

my twopennyworth is that I have learned the hard way the importance of shared beliefs. My other half has always maintained that religion is a crutch, yet claims to have Christian morals.

Forgive me… (and I feel I must tip toe because you are strongly attached to your point of view and beliefs as it should be) but aren’t we all in a position to implement change?  We the people, for the people?….  Thought you might find this of interest…..  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQu_l0sZb8o

You and I know what is coming. You know they will have to be shown and in the showing will winde up buying yet another lie and it will be the most horrible time man has ever known just around the corner. And to think we are only telling them because we have known it almost all our lives, speaking for myself, that is a very long time. May you and yours be blessed.

I did read them. Excellent. I had some books to recommend but I saw where your list of to read was getting to long. It is the same old same old. Those who have eyes and won't see as those who have ears and won't hear! Thank you for reading and for your kind comment.

Justi......
Those of us who have a strong set of core values......apparently intimidate those whose beliefs seem so flexible.  It runs against the current on which the "whatever floats your boats ride.....

For me, as Maggie Thatcher said, "Consensus is the absence of leadership!"

It is the process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values and policies.........So it is something in which no one believes and to which no one objects.

The really frightening about this is..........for these people to be proven wrong and then accept it.....America has to lose and suffer as a result of that loss........a pretty heavy cost to cure indifference and preferential ignorance...

you are a woman with strong convictions, something that isn't very fashionable these days, and I admire that!

Islam? I guess you know my views on that, especially if you  read my 'Islami Tsunami' series, and I certainly hope you did...

It is all there is in life. It is the glue that holds one to another. I am old, dear lady, very old and you learn as you travel along that you change, grow (even if it is only from side to side) but when you wake in the morning you have to face yourself. I have to be sure I like my beliefs or find new ones that will hold me in stead until my time is up. God bless you lady. You are a powerful woman.

Woman, I adore you!  I do!  I do!  I do!  It is not because we agree on everything or only agree on some things.  It's because you are so blatantly loyal to your beliefs and your values.  I am so, so, so, so GLAD we bumped into each other here!
