I love photos. I love reading good writing. There are some of both on here. You are one who just puts out a consistently good post, photo or not, on your Journal. I love it. I am not a good writer. I have opinions that I often think are important and I share them but being good, well I know my limitations and I don't work very hard at improving because I have a lack of basic talent in that area. I think your poetry is good regardless.

I like to watch news two or three times a day and it is the worst for noise and color swirls and junk.

I love to look at pictures people take and post, but there is nothing like the written word if it is done well.  The last two poems that I did (and that's been a while), I purposely left off pictures just to see if I could write a poem without one.  I had sort of become dependent on the pics for inspiration as I went along.

I'm not a REAL big fan of cable.  I like Animal Planet.  I like SOME of the programming on TLC and Discovery Channel.  And I watch The Today Show in the morning.  Otherwise, I prefer to watch a DVD.

Noise is the new
pollution; headphones the new revolution

I have that station I just mute. I don't mind if Nancy Grace has too much music behind her to hear her words, but many the words are difficult to hear with the ease of listening I like when I watch something.

Justi, I wonder how a tv station with absolutely no noise would do?

just roll the news in written form, and the weather and sports likewise, without any music/comments

It would be an interesting experiment....

I don't like a lot of noise
It messes with my focus and makes me very stressed.

So do I; however, I am finding more and more of them are doing it. Particularly those in the News business; they make so much noise you have to work to hear or see them. Thanks for the read.

To one with a bit of a hearing problem - especially in crowds and
situations where there's lots of cross talk and background noise, the tendency of TV channels to put music or sound tracks behind the dialog is distracting and frustrating. I change channels.
