Tony
The best remedy to deal with such heady dreams is to hit shit and then relax a bit.

Tony - it's amazing last night, being very hot & humid..i couldn't
sleep, and everytime this line from a Beatle song" I am the Walrus" played over & over in my head - " See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they run..". So I fully appreciate what yr saying.

Tonyz, wow, how many times have I wakened with some dumb song
stuck in my head....and no matter what you do, you can't get rid of it...sometimes I turn on the radio but with my luck that very song gets played....or plays me....

Technical name for a song that keeps playing in your head -- earworm.
My son had "It's a Small World After All" ringing in his mind for weeks, and he detests Disney, so it was difficult. BTW, I couldn't figure out the word you left on my blog that begins with B***S*****   and now that's got me wondering. :)

I still hope for quieter neighbours for you this year - maybe they'll move.

Hi mneme
Yeah, maybe - I'd had a very busy day before, and maybe the excitement of that combined with being in this flat surrounded by noisy neighbours makes it difficult for me to drop off again when I wake up.

Thanks Ariel
Yeah, it sounds odd, I know, but I really did do all those things today. I did draft a letter on behalf of El Gordo. It wasn't a nightmare or anything, I just lay there thinking of this old tune that was for some reason playing in my dream. Let's hope there's no repeat performance tonight...

too much on your mind, that's all ... you packed a lot into this sonnet - I've had nights like those too.

Tony

My, what an odd life you lead! And what on earth do you imbibe before bed? White Hearse Whisky?

Lay orf that cheese on toast, with pepper and mustard and you'll kip like a babe. An' yer know how well babes kip, doncher?
