Afzal, Nice post.
Sorry, I just couldn't resist the above. I hope that you will not let the complaints ruin your day. I don't think there are any Blogit rules that say we have to comment in detail about posts.

I don't comment a lot of the time and when I do
I may say "interesting post" or "nice post" or even "good post" and what I mean by it is this. I either like it, understand where you are coming from, or maybe that the topic is interesting but I just don't need to say any more then that.

I realize you're a very busy person. However, I have difficulty accepting that you're actually reading some of the people you choose to comment on. I'm just being honest here. You invest alot of time and energy in writing your own posts. And I must say, I enjoy reading you, Afzal! You're a very bright individual. However, on the same token, in both you and I recognizing that you're a busy individual (as are many of us here) do you feel you might be spreading yourself too thin in regard to how often you're absorbing what you're reading and commenting on with others? Another thought or explanation I'd like to offer is this: If I were to say
I get what I deserve is that the same thing as saying
I deserve what I get? My point being that when I see "nice post" or "intersting post" consistently thrown around on multiple topic blogs it leaves me wondering what's so nice about my post? What's so interesting about my post? That's just me, and I wanted to share this with you directly! In essence, you've got your style and I've got mine.

Hi afzal
I find your comments honest in that they say so much, I have no problem with peoples reviews long or short, I'm honored by their time and visit.

You are welcome and I feel any comment that lets me know a person is there is better then the "no commenter" ..People have to understand that each of our lives are different and therefore we don't all have the same allocated time as the next person. I always try to think about the person on the other side of the monitor...there is no way we can determine for one minute what that person is doing or thinking. Therefore anything nice coming from them is certainly better then a negative stroke of the keyboard...

Some people are just too easily offended
Though I am fine with receiving one word reviews and flowers, I tend to find something to comment on at somewhat greater length or not comment at all. From the strictly mercenary perspective, not leaving a comment only hurts me, since the author has no way of referring back to me and click on my blog.
What I try not to do is to get in a flame war, because those who are most easily offended are also those who don't bother to read and understand what you say.

I like to use the comment 'nice', too.
What I mean by 'nice' is that ' I feel comfortable ' reading a particular post. I am with you, afzal.

Afzal, some people like to criticize. I don't have a problem with that. It's their time, their energy, their life force they are eating up. Generally, I would rather say nothing than to criticize how another does things. Also, if someone criticizes me, I tend to not defend myself. I either say nothing or say "sorry I offended you." Something like that. Of course, I don't always live up to this standard - not at all - it's just how I prefer to handle things. My point there, I'm not sure why you are being criticized - at least publicly - I don't understand the point. Maybe that is the function of a forum like this - to air everything publicly. I suppose I am in the minority in feeling it is better not to do it that way. Regarding comments. I tend to do the opposite from what you are being chastized for. If I read something and don't have something to say immediately, I tend to not comment at all. Really this does not help anyone. There are some poets here whom I tend not to comment on even though I read them and enjoy their work. Lots of times, I just don't know what to say. I have read your work many times and left no comment. I hate it when people click on me and leave no comment. I like to know who is reading. Yet, I am very, very guilty of that. I guess I want to leave more than a generic comment but, am not sure what to say in the moment. Not quick on my feet, I suppose. Sorry, I'm rambling. Just wanted to share some thoughts. MoonSpirit

Afzal, you comment well on my blogs - I have no problem with the words
you use to convey your response to my efforts. I mean taking more time with other bloggers who do seem to have a problem. Thank you for the consideration.

No, I don't feel offended
I realize the time constraints because I have them too. A problem can arise if there is a consistent pattern of nothing but emoticons or carbon copy comments. After awhile, you begin to wonder if the person is even clicking onto your blogs, let alone reading your posts. I've had this happen with a couple of bloggers who never, not even once, incorporated anything from my work or meaning of my work into their response. I don't feel that from your comments. Perhaps if you could find the time, occasionally answer a bit more expansively on those who do think that - just a thought. Good luck!
