It would depend on how painful and irreversible my ailment was, I think.
I'd like to live forever if I weren't in pain, I think.

I don't think I'd want any.
We all come into a life to learn and perfect our souls and once we've done that, we get to go back Home. Staying here longer? Nah.

What? Hahaha.  You're not planning on dying anytime soon are you?

I guess it would depend on my age and health. Does anyone ever want to pass from this world willingly?  I guess just try to live life to it's fullest.

You didn't call here, did you?

Fresh lease just before death?
I suppose it would depend on what I was dying from; if I was in pain and the pain was relieved I would want to live long enough to fulfill a devine purpose set before me.  I have a sense of purpose presently and I don't believe I'll be able to move on until I've fulfilled that purpose.  I believe that time can be construed as relevant; giving someone a new lease could possibly cause them to accomplish feats of victory in a extremley short amount of time.  If I had another 50 years of quality life, would I procrastinate my time knowing I have more?  I don't believe in procrastinating a moment of time as it is, unknowing.  If every moment is spent in the present moving forward spiritually, contributing more joy, more laughter and more positive energy to all of those around us, time then becomes irrelevant.  I also believe there will be a heaven on earth after this life, so I believe this short span of life isn't meant to simply explore every avenue of adventure, thrill and stimulations that is available because we will live eternally in wonder. Great thought provoking post!

Frankly, afzal, I'll leave it to the almighty God.

My first thought was.. none.. I want it to be over.
Thinking about it though.. perhaps that is just where I am now. Pages will turn if I live another day and maybe I will find more reason to stay.

If I knew I would be in good shape, I'd say whatever would bring me to . .
100. Going on after that would be intriguing. . .there's so much to do. But I've seen elderly relatives have a bittersweet relationship with aging as they've seen loved ones die one by one. Don't mean to be a downer, but mortality is a bitter pill we all must swallow (unless a spiritual philosophy can relaly make you look forward to a much earned and rewarding afterlife.)

I guess that would depend on how old I was when I was close to death...
