The flow of this poem is so lovely Tony.  I have a few years yet before my sons go off to college, but the poem brought back to the fond memory I have of picking my son up after a week of camp this summer.

Hi Tony,
My deepest admiration! Rest...what Troosha says. Today, words fail me. Rare beauty. ... Since you are a man, I am not saying anything more.

Tony
I would like to think that as we get older we are no longer thirsty (metaphorically) but I find it’s quite the opposite. My hunger and thirst does not seem to diminish with time. What a great chronology of human thirst – done with playfulness but still throwing a punch at the end.

Love your creative thinking....I'm way past the tipple & nipple stage...

Tonyzonit
if this evolution is true, I'm at the "not thirsty" stage without going through the boozing-in-pubs-stage. Drat.

Good idea - and I think the Mona Lisa might have had a couple too.

I like this very much. . .
descriptive of all the stages of life and the fizzy sweet pop childhood preference reference and the teenage introduction to booze evoke nostalgia. The baby tipple does too, but if we are to look our mothers in the face, some things are best undwelled on!

Perhaps you could craft a beverage-themed riddle of the sphinx?
