Emerson says....
Prayer is the most selfish thing we can do... that it is best to meditate on what we can do - and do it rather than begging for favors.

I agree with Chilitree
As I walked down the platform at King's Cross this morning I kept thanking God for helping me to put things into perspective, even if my errant mind is determined to wreck the balance each time that I wake up.

Hello Afzal. I love this post from the depth of my heart...

God is personal (in my experience) ... therefore God is a person ... relational

Which means I can enter into a personal relationship with Him. Thanks for this lovely and true post.

Afzal

I actually have a lot of thoughts on this, but I will try to sum them up.

As one who doesn't believe in God as a being, I neither pray nor worship. At least not in the same way as many others do.

Jesus had said... "If you have the faith of a mustard seed, you can move mountains".

I and many like me take this meaning literally.  We change things through our "faith" or belief that it is possible.  Everything we need, everything we ask for comes from inside us.  None of us are separate from God. None of us are separate from anything. None of us are seperate from each other.
