Thank you!

Nautikos's post should be required reading for everyone!

Ariel
A beautifully thought-provoking write-up. I have enjoyed your writing and thoughts in maturity. 'Islamic Tsunami' is memorable. Will go to Nauticos soon.

I went, I read, I stopped to think
and of course he is very close to a possible future our Grandchildren may face, and seems to have a deep understanding of an ideology powerful enough to fill the void that the Western thinking people's are experiencing. Thankyou (I think) for giving me fat to chew!

Bother, I really want to be done with all things political
I did my marching when I was young & left the arena well burnt out years ago. Now I will have to check out this Nautiko.

Good posts, aren't they? Every blogger ought to be made to read them!

I'm going to post my take on this threat soon.

You're right. Nautikos is eloquent and thorough.
His points are well documented, thoughtful, and scary. Doom-filled. I've read, but haven't been able to come up with a comment. Maybe now I'll give it a shot. :)

Ariel--
thank you for posting this! I do try not to stay within my comfort zone, reading the same bloggers day in and day out...but fairly often this is the path of least resistance (though not at all the one that would offer the most growth)...so thank you for the reminder.

And IMO, an open mind is perhaps the greatest of all assets a human can have.

Well, there you are ; an open mind. That's all you need!

WOW!
I will definitely check out Nautikos' site (and not because of your bewitching, hypnotic eyes!), but not tonight. It's about midnight here, too. I had resolved to go to bed before 10:00 P.M. "Just one look last look at Blogit..." I was kidding myself! 'Night.

Ariel, it's difficult for me as I never got involved in
knowing anything about any political situation.  It stemmed from listening too many heated arguments as a kid over politics, the kind where people are on the verge of shouting.

It's only in the last year or so (shamefully) that I've made a point of watching the news, and as a result of Naut's posts I feel like I'm getting the key notes on certain things without a hard line view or getting swamped.

Like yourself, I get tired, and my comment on Naut's post was one of humour, as I always come back to read regardless, even in intervals.

True ; sad but true.

I must admit to not responding as often as I would like, but at least I have the excuse that I'm not very fit right now, get very tired very early, and am not able to spend as much time here as I would like.

Usually it's late when I'm here ; like now, it's nearly midnite.

What are we to do when we never get any responses even when we are faithful to certain readers and commentators? The choice is to move on...
