You are quite the sleuth.  Happenings today and comments made peaked my curiosity to Professor Peabody and that led to this post of yours that I missed at the time it was written.   Guess I'll go to the link now.  LOL

As Artie Johnson used to say,
"Veddddy Eenterestink! And vedddy strange..."

I don't know if they were the same -- I do know that couples after awhile start inadvertently resembling each other -- they start using each other's phrasing, pick up mannerisms -- it's a natural thing.

At any rate, this was very well done and highly enjoyable to read.

This is some good research. I suspected they might be the same but
she did ask once if I would meet her and the Professor for a beer (back when they lived just across the water from me).  I declined but in hindsight wouldn't it have been interesting.

You'd make a great detective!  Here's my thoughts:

There was an 8 minute time span between the time "Blanche" mistakenly left a comment and Mr. P came back on and said "Ooops."  Alot can happen in 8 minutes.  If they are 2 completely different people who shared a computer then THIS is what I think happened.

Mr. P left his final comment at 10:02 a.m. then galloped into the kitchn. Blanche sat down before the computer,  signed in, went directly to the post, scanned the comments and said "Mr. P, get a load of this comment."  Mr. P peers over Blanche's shoulders, reads the comment, and in a fit of rage he pushes Blanche to the floor, jumps into the chair, and lashes out against lustorlove not realizing he was using Blanche's screen name.  "Take that, lustorlove," he says.  As he's about to help Blanche up off the floor he suddenly realizes, "OMG!  What have I done?"  So he runs to the computer, signs Blanche on, signs himself in, and pulls the "Oops!" thingee!  It could happen!

Do I believe what I just wrote to be true!  I honestly don't know what to believe.  If Blanche were taking on two blogging identities then more power to her.  It would be Stephen King-esque, in my humble opinion.

Regardless, I loved the connections you made.  I like the way you think!  Excellent post.

it wouldn't surprise me if they were one in the same. It also wouldn't
surprise me if they were two different people, but she used his account to make comments to herself.   LOL... Who knows.

I best not touch this one. LOL

Interesting post Joe and you sure did your research. However, I don't think

they are one and the same.  I happen to know that Mr. Peabody IS Blanche's boyfriend Michael. I guess they are working on getting Blanche healthy again and blogging is not Mr. Peabody's priority. I just hope she is getting the help she needs. However, I did enjoy this post...and you're right, there are many similarities.

I agree - interesting thought, Joe Love
I'm not sure if they were one and the same. There is a level of arrogance and cruelty I wasn't aware of in either of them or one of them...I'm confusing myself...:) Blanche left only positive and supportive comments on my racier works and on the posts of another writer here who inspires much of my poetry. Her boyfriend/She (?) sounds judgemental and appalled at personal expressions in these comments. Strange..

to further bolster my position, I refer you to this post of mine http://www.blogit.com/Blogs/Blog.aspx/Nautikos/342800 which you might want to read anyway, it's not too bad) and then inspect the comments. And pay special attention to the ime lapse between Prof P's comments and B's.

Very interesting hypothesis, and well reasoned support for it. I'm still not convinced, though! Unfortunately, at the moment I cannot support my disbelief as convincingly you can support your argument...for the moment, mine has to rest on differences in 'tone'....which is admittedly vague...

I don't think Blanche and Peabody were one and the same. Interesting analysis, however.  Worthy of a Linguistics major (I know, I did some speech analysis for an assignment once.)
