believe me, I do annihate the small and dangerous ones :) But I can't bear the squishiness of anything this big. I don't know quite what I'd do if I met a big dangerous one.

I don't blame you.  I thought the same when I first saw a harmless black snake in my garden in NC.  You get used to the spiders, so long as they are outside not in.. this one was last seen running up the magnolia tree.

I can see why a child would be scared of a butterfly, they can get to be quite big too. I used to be afraid of moths too - now it's only wasps and cockroaches.

Wowie, that is some story, and those pictures were awesome. I am happy it snowed today and I live where the cold is better than having spiders like that. I'll take bears and wolves any day luv.
