Tanga,
Thank you.  I have to admit that I feel better when I find that others have the same problems that I do.  I was just about to post something tonight, but when I saw your comment, I went back and read my blog again.  Then I looked at the clock.  I think I better wait.

You crack me up .....

I must admit, I find myself in such a predicament all the time.  That is why you won't see me posting everyday...

cpk,

Mostly, I prefer just gas.  Actually, since I have quit the bean burros, I don't even have to worry about that.  Getting off of bean burros was quite a task, but I was able to handle it without even joining BBA.

I find that I have to agree that success is simply persistent failure.  It seems that persistence is sufficiently successful that little else matters.  Good advice.

And the words of the pitching coach to Ralph Branca certainly are the golden key to success.  When you screw up, things get so screwed up that success becomes an impossibility.

Thank you very much for imparting your words of wisdom.

I never heard such things before.  jj Flash aka Johnny Knowitall

Joe L,

Joe Love, I sho' love your comments.  I honestly don't know why--there just seems to be something about them.  At first, I thought it was because they were thought provoking, but after spending some time on that thought I thought ''now is that really true, or am I just telling myself that to keep my mind running so that it won't get cold and stall when I need to take off in a hurry?''

It reminds me a lot of the time that I was lost in a bunch of sage and chaparral on the side of a mountain in cold weather.  You could hardly get through the stuff without a machete or a chainsaw, then it started raining.  I tried to continue uphill on my ''shortcut,'' but it got so miserable that I decided to struggle downhill until I came to something meaningful.  The true meaning of lost finally had pounced upon me.

I was about to lie down and wait for a miracle when I found a road that seemed to be going in the right direction.  I then came upon a bus station that had a bus going to from where I came.  I found my truck, and I think I got home--but I'm still not sure that I am not still lost on the side of a mountain, getting soaked, freezing, and getting all panicky.

Is there any way to be sure, or should I just continue on with Crybaby Blogging?

Where am I, anyway?  jj flash--lost in space again.

A few things...
1. Do you jump, roll or simply stoned on gas, gas, gas?
2. Success is simply persistent failure, so get out there and try.
3. The words of the pitching coach to Ralph Branca before throwing the pitch that Bobby Thompson hit for a home run to win the 1951 National League Pennant:
Don't screw up!

If I and any of my team get caught making comments, we will disavow any knowledge of our actions.

Pat,
Be sure to see the next post in this blog.  It is economical on words, so it may be just your speed.  Right now, clock-hand positions considered, it certainly is my speed.

Whacky,

I hope you and everyone else not commenting on my nonblog appreciate my heartfelt gratitude for your non-comments.

This enlightening experience has convinced me that I should favor a particular name that I devised for my nonpoetry poetry blog:  Big Ed's Poetic Justice.

Thoughtful comments cannot be bested, even by a piece of zesty Crabapple & Green Chile Pie.

ciel,

I usually highlight the whole thing and do a control-C to copy it to the clipboard so if the save blows off I have a backup.  The big problem there is if you bump another key before you do control-C the entire highlighted area changes to that key.

I guess there just aren't any perfect solutions to screwing up.

.Dave,

Thank you for not commenting.  I have to ask, though, is .DAVE pronounced duhdave, DotDave, or dotty dave?  Now that you have become another person, I can think your name, but I can't figure out how to say it.

Yeah, the mistake I usually make in that situation is to get it done, and
accidentally hit 'delete.'
