I was the black sheep of
my family for many years. One of the reasons was depression, and also my unwillingness to accept boundaries imposed by my parents. It is nice that you help this young man rationalize his problems. Sometimes an objective perspective helps a person more than anything. Take care

Hi afzal
Your good friend sounds like a passionate and soft man, like most artists. Like a lone lam lying unprotected out in the meadow. This brings out the beast in most weather family friend or stranger can't help themselves in making a slight or sly comment they know dam well will hurt their intended lam. Good post Sir!
