Thanks LLM, as always most supportive. I'm still around the place and hope your new year has started well.

Yes Greenfields, crossroads is definitely the right term for where I feel I'm at. I'm just trying to work out the means by which happiness will be found.

well don't mind if I do Melody.. billabong is basically a watering hole in the outback where the swagman (a travelling worker) makes camp, boils his billy (like a little tin bucket that can be held over the fire) and chows down on the sheep he stole (the jumbuck)... of course there are a couple of ways in which the song is sung and sometimes variation in the lyrics and back in the 70s the nation did consider making it the national anthem which would have been a little silly as its about a sheep stealer getting caught by the police, drowning and then remaining forever a ghost.

I've been distracted too!!!
You read my thoughts!
Rob, I'm so glad you wrote this blog. Lately I've been fascinated by this Australian classic and have been pondering the lyrics. Can you shed some light on these phrases:
Once a jolly swagman sat beside the billybong,
Under the shade of a culobah tree,
What is a billybong, and what is a culobah tree?
Also, I wanted to share my aspirations for the New Year.  I would like to learn how to play dominoes. Maybe I can moonlight playing dominoes for money at Hialeah Park.

Sounds lie you are at the crossroads
of life.  Listen to yourinner voice, and move towards the things you enjoy.  It's one way to go. Actually, the only way to go, in my book!

Hi-ya Rob.  Whatever you choose to do, I hope it brings you much happiness.  You deserve that most of all.

You were trained as a massage therapist????  DAMN!!!!  Why haven't you answered my advert????

Anyway, mate...It's going to see you back.  I was beginning to think you'd wandered off again...

actually babe_rocks that's a thought
I've wondered about starting a business. I trained as a massage therapist a couple of years ago but kept on lowering my price trying to get customers and the people who rang wanted "special services" ... the end result was I chucked the whole idea out the window. But some kind of business.. something simple and beneficial for people. An online business maybe... hmmm.
