The truth be known, I frequently eat leftovers for breakfast myself, though I usually reheat them (I like a warm breakfast), and I usually don't have the same thing for supper that I had for breakfast.  I also admit to having a fondness for my ham or sausage and eggs as an evening meal.  However, I usually don't eat more for breakfast than at supper like my grandfather did most of his working years.

I think leftovers for breakfast are quite satisfactory.

My father says that I should move to California with the rest of the nuts
in this country, notapoet.  He eats eggs and bacon or eggs and sausage every morning, sometimes with applesauce, sometimes with applebutter, and a biscuit.  One morning he caught me me eating cold spaghetti and meatballs (I like cold food) and a leftover salad, which elicited the abovementioned suggestion.  I eat cold fish, cold steak, and cold liver for breakfast.  In fact, I eat a lot of leftovers for breakfast, some of which I heat up, some I don't.  And I'm rather fond of eating the traditional breakfast foods, especially an omelette, for dinner...

You're probably right.  Although in my case I think it was just a combination of hunger and laziness coming to the fore.  I guess that's where weird stomachs come from.

Weird stomachs think alike, I guess.
