Not really much that one can say about this, is there?

What are words compared to a touch? If I were close to you, I would embrace you and let my compassion, sympathy and empathy fill the silence between us.

Perhaps then I would be privileged to have healed just a little of your pain.

Be well, and at peace.

Sweet Angel

How fragile is life, how fleeting...

For now you are the breeze that blows.

Through the clouds, you're the rainbow shining.

The brightest star that glows.

How precious is life, a beautiful gift.

For now you are in my memories.

In my mind I hear your voice lift.

I see you everywhere...in my dreams.

How sacred is life, how times stands still.

I remember your soft gentle touch.

Your hand in mine I can still feel.

Oh, how I love you so very much.

How short is life compared to eternity.

I see your beauty that brings me joy.

I know now you are forever free.

For you, heaven is no longer just a story.

How I live my life now will be so different.

For life will never be the same without you with us.

I know now you were an angel that the Lord lent.

Today, I have more reasons to go to heaven, you and Jesus.

How precious is the candle of light in our life.

Yours will continue to glow in our hearts.

We know that God holds the key to death and life.

Soon He'll call us too and then Sweet Angel we'll never part.

Hi MC - the red theme works really well. Other good bits of wordplay, too!
Your poems are so memorable - I can remember so many just like that. They really stick in the mind.

MC,the power is in the simplicity.
It shouldn't do, but an anniversary does hit harder and we all send you our love.

sorry about the gloom, i am fine really, i had to mention his birthday.
I wanted to write something special for my son, but it turned out a little more gloomy than i intended, and i don;t feel as bad as the poem says, thankfully, i try to look forward as much as possible, of course i miss him but i learn to adapt and accept to a certain extent.

Marieclaire
I can't imagine the road of grief, healing, more grief and healing  that you've undoubtedly journeyed.  Be it January 2nd or a blue Tuesday in August, the memories that flood in must be what keeps mothers who have lost children sane. My heart goes out to you - today and every day.
