Autobiography of a Blogger from India
Hello there Afzal! Now I can reconcile why you write in English so well! You're so lucky to have a father who has thought of you dearly. He knew that having English as a second language will bring you far ahead. He may have noticed also about your innate talents and the endless possibilities. My father had also a very strong infuence in my literary prowess. When I was only 6 years old, my father brought me lots of books from the town library. You have read about Dick and Jane? It was my first reader. Reading has been next to eating for me since then. Next to food and water, books make me alive, alert, enthusiastic. How about your mother? Would like to know about her too. Have a peaceful, blessed and really prosperous New Year!Mayflower

I believe that as long as opportunities are there for us,
we should use them.  Otherwise, we spend years regretting all the stuff that we might have done but did not use the chance when it came along.  I believe in making things happen.

I hope you realize that though you didn't actually get to say the words

On that very day, your father nonetheless knew that you loved and respected him. I think life-long repentance is being too harsh on yourself. You're human, not perfect....just a man with flaws like the rest of of us. Give yourself a break!

Learn from the incident, forgive yourself and move forward.

Afzal
This is a very good post, my love.  It sounds like your father was a really good man. I would guess that he was very proud of you.
I'm so sorry that you didn't get that last chance to embrace him, sweetie.
