Tonyzonit,
can't say I've noticed anything odd about these sounds on NYE, but I'll be listening harder next year. Happy New Year to you..!

The moment one year turns into the next. . .
can with a scream be damned or with a kiss be blessed.

Thanks to you all for your comments.
Oh, there goes a firework or two. Bit early, it's only ten pat ten. More annoying is the Turkish music and occasional vocal outbursts coming from below. Why does that fat bastard always have to be the host? And where does he get the money from to pay for his flat, since he never works?

Is that second more important than any other second?
I think not, unless you are one of the souls being dragged under by the hounds of hell.
My enjoyment of New Year's Eve begins and ends with the Swedish meal I have had on that night. I really could care less about the change of year or about staying up late.

that must have been very eerie, you rendered that well.
A slightly disturbing experience i would imagine, you put it so well, it almost seemed surreal, the way you described it. i liked it very much. It is masterfully written, and happy new Year to you, with a decent set neighbours, with a quiet voice or none.

Nice take on New Years, and you're right there is something
scary about those yelps & drunken revellers.
