I agree and disagree, respecfully...
I don't know that he would ever get a fair trail anywhere. Whether it would be attacks from his supporters or those he attacked, it just will never happen. The U.S. was not alone in meddling with the trail. While the trail may not have been fair, the verdict of guilty can hardly be contested.
As for a public hanging, what better way to make him into a martyr, but what better way to prove he is actually dead? That is a lose-lose there with no way out.
