Thank you for appreciating my non-poems and pseudo-haiku. I can't recall reading anything by Rilke, although the name rings a bell for some reason. I'm woefully ignorant when it comes to poetry. Most of the poetry I've read, other than here, was for college credit. Most of my pleasure reading is science fiction (with a little fantasy for balance), humor, and whatever strikes my fancy at the time.

Have you read any of Rilke's poetry?
To the best of my recall we didn't cover this poet in the lit program at SIU. So when I found a slightly water damaged old edition of his poetry at the library's used book shop, I put down my 75 cents and picked it up. I'm very impressed, but maybe it's just me.
